The park was planted in 1966 to protect the city from the dust created in the dolomite quarry. When the 158 hectares of used quarried were flooded in 1987, a new favourite recreation place of the city was born. The Forest Park is located next to Radži water reservoir, which has a Blue Flag beach. On one of islets there can be seen Radži grand stone – with height of 3,1 m and girth of 19,5 m.
Wakepark Is located near Radžu reservoir, right beside blue flag beach. In Radžu reservoir You can find 8 islands, possible bypass by boat, esspecially beautiful, when waterlily blossoms.
The wake park is located by the Radžu reservoir, right next to the Blue flag beach. The quarry lake features 8 dolomite islands, especially beautiful during the water lily blooming period, which can be visited by rowing boat. The Mežaparks (Forest Park) is located right next to the quarry lake and features walkways, volleyball courts and playgrounds, as well as guest houses and camping grounds for those staying overnight.
For recreational and water tourism enthusiasts, kayak rental and equipment “Kayak Mafia” are offered in Jekabpils. Organizes several days of water tourism tours for family or friends. SUP boards can be rented at the beach of Jēkabpils Radžu Reservoir. For this purpose, Jēkabpils Sports Center has purchased SUP boards. The SUP is similar to a large surf board, which, when standing on its feet, propels with a paddle. SUP is a new form of active recreation, water tourism and sport that is gaining popularity and recognition worldwide.
The “Radži” leisure facility is situated in Jēkabpils, on a peninsular near the Radžu reservoir, 140 km from Riga. The leisure facility includes three holiday houses with 10, 16 and 21 bed sleeping accommodation, banquet halls with bathhouses for 24, 12 and up to 45 persons, 5 camping houses with leisure areas, a large lean-to shelter for a comfortable rest, sports grounds.

The Jēkabpils sports centre is a municipal institution in charge of the city’s sports life. The municipality provides the funding necessary in order to maintain the sports base and organise sports activities. The sports centre offers over 20 kinds of sports, providing the necessary facilities for regular training sessions and participation in competitions of different levels. The sports bases host local, national and international contests in different kinds of sports for all age groups. Various events held by the sports centre promote sports activities amongst all categories of the population.

Citrus SPA. The Citrus conference hall is a special place for holding a Board meeting or business conference for the most important partners, customers or colleagues. The conference hall may seat up to 40 persons. Visitors to CITRUS SPA from October 5, 2014, have a sports pool, a children's pool, a 25-meter-long sports pool, 4 walkways, and a children's pool 5x10 meters high.
The hill is located in “Mežaparks” (Forest Park) in Jekabpils. The length of the hill's slope is more than 80 metres.

The Blue Flag has flown over the beach of the Radžu reservoir for 3 years in a row already. Being the world’s most popular method of tourism ecology certification, it has gained much renown amongst residents and is recognised both by municipal and environmental authorities. The Radžu reservoir swimming area in Jēkabpils is one of the ten places in Latvia marked with the Blue Flag. It complies with all the quality criteria for public beaches and meets all the requirements necessary in order to be granted the Blue Flag. The Blue Flag criteria are divided into four groups – environmental education and information, water quality, maintenance and service, and safety. Each year public beaches apply for the Blue Flag, which is assessed by the national, and then international jury. In order to obtain the Blue Flag, a beach must meet 29 criteria.
